Before the 1995 launch of Fuente Fuente OpusX, the Fuente family's most sought-after brand was Arturo Fuente Don Carlos. Named after and blended by family patriarch Carlos Fuente Sr., this line of rich cigars uses some of the Fuentes' oldest tobaccos, a considerable distinction given the massive stocks of tobaccos they owned.
Each cigar is wrapped in Cameroon leaf. The cigars are balanced and elegant, with a much more mellow taste profile than the Fuente Fuente OpusX. They are notoriously slow starters. Often the first half inch or so can be rough before the blend warms up.

Here is the result of careful planning and brilliant execution in the making of a new brand from the workshops of Tabacalera A. Fuente. Originally made in Nicaragua in 1976, the flawless construction and smooth taste of this medium-bodied cigar make it a rewarding experience from the beginning.
